"Jill has not been fired from The Real Housewives of New York City. The truth is that Jill is still in discussions with Bravo for season 5 and hasn't made a final decision about returning to the show," a rep for the 47-year-old reality star told Us Weekly Thursday afternoon.What was behind your decision to keep doing the show? One would imagine it gets increasingly more difficult to have a camera crew following you around your home as you add a family and more people to your immediate lives.

Well, it gets more difficult and, without getting into the details of my relationship with Bravo, I have a commitment. It's not like you get to be like, I want to do one season and then, you've spent all this money on advertising and crew and all of that and we're done.

De Lesseps is listed as the author of a book released in 2009 titled Class With The Countess, although, as she admitted during the filming of Season 2 when Diane Reverand appeared on the show, Reverand actually wrote the book. In April 2010, de Lesseps released a music single titled "Money Can't Buy You Class". She released her second single, "Chic, C'est La Vie" in May 2010.
