She was a contestant in the 2005 series The Apprentice: Martha Stewart and one of the original five "housewives" featured on the Bravo reality series The Real Housewives of New York City. She was the subject of the shows; Bethenny Getting Married? and Bethenny Ever After and founded the company Skinnygirl Cocktails.

It is a spin-off of the Bravo series The Real Housewives of New York City, focusing on the life of Bethenny Frankel, original former cast member of that installation of the The Real Housewives of... franchise. On June 10, 2010, the series became Bravo's highest rated series premiere in the network's history. The second season along with its new title premiered on February 28, 2011. A third season starts on Monday, February 20 2012.
